Are there any contradictions in the Bible? I say NO. Here is a study on Apparent Contradictions -> Apparent Contradictions

Great verses on Faith and Salvation

Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The word of God is the Bible so this points out how very important it is to read the Bible.

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

2 Timothy 3:15
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

1 Peter 1:9
Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Hebrews 7:25
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth, to make intercession for them.

Mark 16:16

Acts 16:30-31
...And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Acts 10:43
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

1 Timothy 2:3-4
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 4:10
For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

1 John 4:14-15
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

1 John 5:1
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Here are some verses that indicate that salvation is 100% done by God. In other words not even our faith (independent from God) or our "accepting Christ" had anything to do with it. These concepts were brought to my attention after reading the topics on Salvation from the book "Topics from the Open Forum" (www.familyradio.com)

John 3:27
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

John 6:44
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:65
And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;...

Romans 3:10-12
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no not one.

Romans 9:16
So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Philippians 2:13
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Acts 13:48
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

Ephesians 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,...

*Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Galatians 2:16 - not my faith but the faith of Jesus Christ
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Luke 18:26-27
And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved? And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Not that I'm qualified to accurately interpret this verse but this is what it means to me.
God loved his creations, created in his image, throughout the world very much. He allowed his son, Jesus, to become human and endure many things we hate as humans: Pain, hunger, sorrow and death.
Anyone can have everlasting life if they believe in Jesus but not everyone will. Certainly those who God is drawing to him. Faith or to believe in the Son is a gift given from God not that any man should boast. I interpret Whosoever as anyone in that God is not a respecter of persons. In this age of Political Correctness, this verse is very meaningful. This verse applies to all races and colors, sexes, stature, etc.
Everlasting life - is there a better gift? It's the gift that keeps on giving and never ends.
Also note that John 3:15 is repeating a portion of John 3:16 with the word ETERNAL replacing EVERLASTING. When Jesus repeats something, it is very important.

Why it's easy for me to believe in God

I remember reading from my physics book that the Energy in the universe is constant and that energy can neither be created nor destroyed only altered in form.
Don't these 2 laws suggest a supernatural force or being? How else could energy be created in the first place? And if you believe in a supernatural force or being, it's not too difficult to believe that the being is in fact God. It seems logical to me that God created all the energy in the universe out
of nothing and then established the laws of physics that we know and live by today.
Just like a computer programmer who sets the environment of his program, and yet does not live in that environment himself, God is not bound by the law of physics he created.
For other theories that dismiss God, I see only two cases:
1. Energy always existed...Ok so how did it get there?
2. Energy was created out of nothing... This goes against the current law of
Both cases point to the existence of God in my opinion.

I do not dismiss that faith is a factor in believing in God. But since our own existence is an enigma without the presence of such a supernatural being as God, I don't think that "leap of faith" is much of a leap.
